Dutch Visual Effects professionals unite in NVX

Friday September 11th saw the foundation of the NVX - The Netherlands Visual Effects Association. This association strives to gain improvement, professionalization and recognition of visual effects in the Netherlands, and will annually hand out the NVX Award to the best visual effects in a Dutch production.

The NVX will act as a stage for members to share their knowledge and experience with each other, and it will also organize lectures, seminars and meetings. This year the NVX VFX DAY at the Netherlands Film Festival will be held on Saturday the 26th, where guest speaker and Oscar winner Paul Franklin will give an inspiring presentation on the visual effects for INTERSTELLAR. The NVX Award will also be handed out that day.

We're happy that STORM VFX Supervisor Luuk Meijer is part of the current board, together with Hans van Helden, Dennis Kleyn, Florentijn Bos, Kasper Oerlemans, Thaumar Rep and Albert van Vuure.

The Paradise Suite at NFF and TIFF

Monday, September 7, 2015

Joost van Ginkel's new film THE PARADISE SUITE will premiere at the Netherlands Film Festival on September 26th. The raw-realistic mosaic tells of several people with very different backgrounds who find each other in Amsterdam and somehow influence each other's lives.

We're thrilled that THE PARADISE SUITE has been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival and has also been chosen as the Dutch entry for the Oscars 2016.

STORM supplied the visual effects, color grading and DCP mastering
